Hendon demonstrates a different part of Tay's development capability. Rather than adapting or extending an existing building, the scheme involved the construction of an entirely new mixed-use property comprising commercial accommodation at ground-floor level with six residential apartments above.
The residential accommodation is arranged across the first, second and third floors and comprises four two-bedroom apartments and two studio apartments. Construction was undertaken by Ashleigh Construction, Tay's in-house construction division.
More than conversion and airspace.
Much of Tay's development experience has involved identifying unrealised value within existing buildings. Hendon demonstrates the group's ability to take that experience into ground-up construction, delivering both residential and commercial accommodation within a new mixed-use building. That gives Hendon a reason to be on the site beyond simply adding another project.
